Who attends our programs?

People attend our programs because they want to make a difference in their own lives and the lives of those close to them.

People attend our programs because they realize that their reaction to anger is affecting them and their most important relationships, at home and at work.

Some may have had an angry outburst that left them, and the people around them, feeling confused, embarrassed or frightened. Others might feel resentful of the disrespect they receive from others, but find themselves unable to effectively set boundaries without an aggressive outburst. In both cases, not dealing with anger skillfully is affecting relationships at home, at work, and is leaving people feeling regretful and ashamed.

Dealing with anger unskillfully is a common problem, more common than many people imagine. If you think about it, however, it is not surprising. Most of us had parents that did not learn to deal with emotions skillfully from their own parents. Until recently in human history, professional counselling services for people who need support in dealing with difficult issues were not available, aside from severe mental or emotional problems. In most cases, until recently, you did not find this kind of information as a part of schools’ regular educational programs for parents or children. So for a long time, many people have had the need for these skills, but did not have many places to turn to for acquiring them.

The pace of contemporary life, the degree of stress that people are consistently subjected to nowadays, and the development of the discipline of psychotherapy have set the stage for the development of the field of Anger Management. And within that field, new ways of integrating anger in a more effective and constructive way have emerged.

If you are looking for a caring and effective way of dealing with anger, you are at the right place.

People who come to us are people who want to learn about what they can do to treat themselves and others respectfully and deal with conflict in a creative and constructive manner.
