Tara has been working with seniors in care since 1989 and has extensive experience helping families navigate BC’s complex long term care system.

Tara believes a couple’s relationship improves quickly when they learn the practical skills necessary to help them manage their issues. She uses the Gottman Method because it offers practical interventions that help couples build their love maps, improve fondness and admiration, manage conflict, create shared meaning and move into the positive perspective. Too often, couples fall into a downward spiral which affects their relationship and their overall well-being. Tara also uses Cognitive Behaviour Therapy , Emotion Focused therapy, Solution Focused therapy and Motivational Interviewing in her work.
