Jeff Markusoff is an experienced clinical counsellor who holds a Master’s (M.Ed.) degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia (UBC) and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#13297) with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC).  Throughout his career, he has worked with a broad client base, consisting of adults, couples, and adolescents, both individually and as a family.  He utilizes evidence-based practices to help facilitate change, empowerment, and goal-attainment, based on individual clients’ needs.

His approach is highly personalized for each client.  He aims to provide a warm and non-judgmental environment to foster strong therapeutic relationships, with an emphasis on trust and acceptance. Through compassion and insight, he is dedicated to help nurture your well-being.

He has training in several modalities of therapy including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotionally Focused Family Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and Therapeutic Enactment, and applies these therapies to a number of issues such as anger management, trauma, grief and loss, relationships, personal growth, career transitions, addictions, anxiety, and depression.  

He also has extensive experience facilitating anger management groups for men and is a trained facilitator of the Connect Parent Group, a group that provides parents with an attachment perspective on parent-child relationships and adolescent development.
